◇ Superlatives
最高級
形容詞可因修飾程度的不同而有不同的「比較程級」，包含：原級 (positive)、比較級(comparative)、最高級 (superlative)。構成最高級的方法，通常單音節的形容詞會直接在字尾加上 -est，而雙音節以上則是以 most 加上形容詞原級表示。例如，rich 為單音節形容詞，就會在字尾加上 -est。注意，最高級形容詞之前習慣性會加上定冠詞 the。
Example：
1. That is the darkest time of my life.
那是我生命中最黑暗的時刻。
2. They're using the most advanced technology in the world.
他們使用了世界上最先進的科技。
3. The Old Man of Storr is one of the most well-known tourist sites in Scotland.
