關係代名詞 - That
That 作為關係代名詞，在句中代替先前出現的人事物，也就是先行詞（antecedent），另一方面引導從屬子句（形容詞子句）來修飾先行詞。That 關係代名詞可以當作主詞，見例句 1.，也可作為受詞，見例句 2.。當受詞時，that 通常可以省略唷，例如：This is a book that my mum gave to me. 其中 that 是可以省略的，因為這個關代是 gave 的受詞。

1. Where's the cord that ties back the curtains?
綁窗簾的繩子在哪？
2. The yogurt that you bought was really delicious. Where did you get it?
你買的優格超好吃的，是在哪裡買的阿？
3. Is this the bus that goes to Kentish Town?
這是去 Kentish Town 的公車嗎？
