倒裝句
當我們要把地方副詞或是介紹位置、地點的介系詞片語放句首的時候，我們會將主詞與動詞的位置互換，也就是說原本主詞在前、動詞在後的順序會變成「主要動詞在前、主詞在後」。而這種句型我們稱為倒裝句，它的目的是讓句子聽起來更優美，通常多用於寫作、正式演說、新聞中。例如例句 And in the center of the Tostitos logo is a picture of two people enjoying a bowl of chips. 中的介係詞片語 in the center of the Tostitos logo 被挪到句首，主詞 a picture of two people enjoying a bowl of chips 與主要動詞 is 位置對調。下面有更多例句提供參考。
