◇ Inversion with Prepositional Phrases
介系詞片語倒裝
一般英語語序是「主詞 + 動詞 (+ 受詞)」，與中文相同。但是當表示地方的介系詞片語放到句首時，主詞和動詞的順序就要倒過來，變成「動詞在前、主詞在後」，我們稱為「倒裝」。
Example：
1. In the room sat two gentlemen, talking delightfully.
房間裡坐著兩位談笑風生的男士。
2. Around the lake lives a group of aborigines, who has a fascinating cultural heritage.
湖周圍住著一群原住民，他們擁有令人讚嘆的文化遺產。
3. On the bookshelf sits the trophies I won over the years.
書架上擺著我這些年來贏得的獎盃。
