祈使句
在英文口語上，時常會使用祈使句，用來表達說話者給予聽話者的命令、邀請、建議等。因為祈使句的直接對象就是聽話者，所以會省略主詞 You，以原型動詞作為句子開頭，例如(you) head over to the restaurant、(you) pop it in your bag、(you) stop at all the red lights 等句型，都是省略了主詞 you。不過如果有需要特別強調是對聽話者說時，也可以把 you 說出來。如果是要表達否定時，則會在動詞前加上 don't，或是使用 never。
Example：
1. Please close the window before you go to bed.
請在上床睡覺前把窗戶關上。
2. Never talk about me behind my back.
不要在背後說我的閒話。
3. Have fun on your trip, and I'll see you when you return.
旅途玩得開心點，等妳回來後我們再見。
