◇ Double Comparatives
雙重比較
這次要來和大家介紹一種進階的比較級說法，可以形容兩件程度變化互有關連的事情。如果我們要說「越..(a)..越..(b)..」，此時(a)和(b)皆為形容詞或副詞比較級的形式。句型就會是 the（+主詞）+（動詞）, the …（+主詞）+（動詞），例如例句：The bigger the work (is), generally the more expensive it is. （越大的作品，大致上來說就會越貴。） 須注意：1. the 必須出現，不能省略 2. 前後半句僅須以逗號隔開，不用再添加and或其他連接詞。 以下再提供其他例句：
Example：
1. The more Bob eats, the heavier he gets.
Bob 吃得越多，他就變得越重。
2. The more hardworking the students are, the better their academic performance become.
學生越努力，他們的成績就越好。
3. The more you give, the more you get.
你付出的越多，得到的越多。
