副詞
副詞與形容詞都是修飾語，形容詞是用來修飾「名詞」或「代名詞」；而副詞則是用來修飾「動詞」、「形容詞」或其他「副詞」。這些修飾語可有可無, 拿掉修飾語並不影響句子結構的正確性；然而少了修飾語，卻會削弱語文表達的能力。 例如例句：The game is mainly about predicting and reading your opponent. 這裡的「mainly」就是副詞，可以省略而不影響句子的結構，但卻會影響句子表達的意思。
Example：
1. Have a nice time, dear, and drive carefully.
祝你玩得開心，親愛的，路上小心。
2. The child ran happily toward his mother.
孩子開心地向媽媽跑去。
3. The library will be officially opened by the end of this week.
圖書館將在週末正式開啟。
